Nice one, I had been searching for something like this. (More complete than wordcount plugin, see andersdrengen.dk & which is not compatible with WP 2.1)

Is it possible to include code (for example into a side bar) to display total published words from x number of posts?

Hi Charlotte - did you do as the install instructions said and edit or add a new post first to initialize the script? The variables will all be empty until you do that.

I’m having a problem with the word count plugin. When I bring up the word count page at the dashboard I have a page full of error messages:
